CONSULTANT/SENIOR CONSULTANT-MANAGED MARKETS


We are currently recruiting a strong Consultant or Senior Consultant with market research expertise to join our Managed Markets consulting practice.  In addition to working with client teams from leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to obtain answers to their most pressing managed markets-related strategic questions, the individual selected will help conduct and manage multi-client consulting studies focused on managed markets issues and assist in the development and growth of additional service offerings.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience conducting and managing qualitative and quantitative market research projects for pharmaceutical or biotech clients, preferably involving managed markets issues.  He or she must have the written, verbal, and analytic skills required to excel in defining the implications of market research findings and communicating those findings in a compelling manner.  Candidates should have direct experience developing research instruments and conducting in-depth interviews.  Three years of relevant work experience is required, including work with a pharmaceutical company or market research firm.

SENIOR PRACTICE EXECUTIVE - BRAND MANAGEMENT & MARKETING
Sell, develop, and execute Brand-Specific Strategies and Programs for Pharmaceutical and Biotech clients

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Practice Executive to join our growing Brand Management & Marketing Practice in Boston.  This individual will work with the firm's pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients in selling services to our clients and developing brand strategies.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

· Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, with solid working knowledge of marketing, sales, market research, and new product development
· Specific in-depth experience in creating and evaluating commercial strategy for pharmaceutical brands, including
- Market analysis
- Positioning and segmentation
- Promotion
- Forecasting
- Assessment of commercial opportunities, such as NCEs, line extensions, new claims, and/or new indications
· In-depth therapeutic knowledge in oncology, immunology, cardiology, anti-infectives, or CNS would be a big plus

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

· Minimum of two years experience selling and leading large projects at a management consulting firm
· Ability to consistently demonstrate clear and logical thought processes, especially related to pharma brand strategy
· Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong PowerPoint skills
· An MBA from a "top 20" program, MD, PharmD, or RPh is strongly preferred

SENIOR PRACTICE EXECUTIVE - MANAGED MARKETS
Sell and deliver Managed Markets Strategy services to our pharmaceutical and biotech clients

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Practice Executive to join our Managed Markets practice.  These individuals will work with the firm’s pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients in selling, developing, and implementing managed markets strategies, along with managing project teams and client relationships.

Common projects in the Managed Markets practice include

·         Assisting clients in developing and executing managed markets launch strategies for new products

·         Assisting clients in refining the managed markets strategy for in-line products

·         Assisting clients in developing corporate- and product-level segment-specific strategies for one or more of the managed markets segments (e.g., Medicare, Federal Markets)

·         Assisting clients in increasing their effectiveness in tactical execution (e.g., managed care pull-through)

The ideal candidate will have experience working in one or more of the following:

  • A marketing and/or sales capacity within the managed markets function of a pharmaceutical company
  • A clinical position (pharmacy or medical) in a managed care organization
  • A management consulting firm

A strong knowledge of managed markets and the pharmaceutical industry is essential, while Medicare-related experience is a plus.  Experience in selling and managing large projects in management consulting is required.  Candidates with an MBA from a top 20 program, PharmD, or MPH are strongly preferred.

Campbell also provides project management support to client brand teams and sales strategy and training services that ensure success.

The ideal candidate will have experience in product or brand management from a leading pharmaceutical or biotechnology company, as well as experience working in a professional services firm.  Other attractive experiences include those in market research, forecasting and promotions.  The individuals selected will have brand-building experience at various stages of the product life cycle and will be well versed in the development of promotional programs, formulation of the overall marketing mix, and determination of specific messages for sales force delivery.  Candidates with an MBA, MD, or advanced degree in Biology or Chemistry are highly preferred.

ANALYTICAL CONSULTANT - MANAGED MARKETS


We are currently recruiting Analytical Consultants to work in our Managed Markets practice. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative and modeling skills, as well as experience with pricing, forecasting, or discrete choice modeling. 

A background in quantitative analysis, and an undergraduate degree in economics or other quantitative field is essential.  In addition to the above, previous experience in a management consulting firm is preferredKnowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, through either industry experience or exposure to pharma in a consulting firm, market research firm, government, or extended research projects is required

 

Candidate must have experience with Microsoft Excel or other similar software for quantitative analysis. Experience with VBA is considered ideal but not essential. Experience in statistical analysis and/or regression analysis with SAS, Stata, SPSS, E-Views, LIMDEP, or other similar software is essential.

SR. CONSULTANTS - CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT
Consult with Major Pharmaceutical Companies on Clinical Development Strategies and Processes

We are currently recruiting for a strong Sr. Consultant to join our Clinical Development practice. This person will work on projects for the firm's pharmaceutical clients.

Campbell Alliance's Clinical Development practice helps clients formulate aggressive clinical development strategies and drive promising compounds through each phase of the clinical trials process. Specific service offerings include strategy and planning, infrastructure development/improvement, and e-enablement of clinical trials.

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of the overall clinical development process, from the pre-clinical stage through Phases I-IV of the clinical trials process. Prior pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs is strongly preferred. This individual will have a combination of both pharmaceutical company and previous management consulting experience. Graduate degree in science or health-related field, Pharm D preferred.

RESEARCH ANALYST


We are currently recruiting for a Research Consultant to join our Research Services Department.

Working closely with Campbell Alliance’s consulting teams and internal leadership, members of our Research group provide high-quality secondary research about business and clinical information in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.  Their responsibilities include the following:

-       Conducting extensive literature and database searches on the business of the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, selecting and synthesizing relevant findings based on the requesting consultant’s business purpose

-       Presenting concise research findings to consulting teams and internal leadership in a variety of formats (e.g., e-mail responses, narrative write-ups, PowerPoint slides)

-       Providing both broad overviews and focused reports on trends and issues in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and its products, companies, and therapeutic areas

-       Monitoring industry news and proactively updating consulting teams on recent developments

The job requires familiarity with the mechanics of conducting secondary research, both via standardized searches such as database queries and through creative and persistent searches of unconventional sources.  In addition, successful Campbell researchers demonstrate exceptional interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, creative problem-solving, a talent for translating complex information into a manageable format, skill managing a large volume of work in a compressed time frame, flexibility, and the ability to learn and synthesize new information quickly.

Experience working in a fast-paced business environment is a necessity.  Knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and/or health care is ideal.
