The relationship between the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries has never been more apparent – partner to survive. For pharma, patent expirations and depleted pipelines have forced companies to look externally for growth. For biotech, the lack of financing and an uncertain regulatory and reimbursement landscape threatens the progress of innovative new therapies. In this environment, the competition for unlicensed assets has never been more intense and top dealmakers will shape the future of the industry.
